New Delhi: (IGX) has received regulatory approval to set up a capacity booking platform for (LNG) import terminals, which would enable users to access terminal capacity more easily and transparently, the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board () said in a statement on Friday.

“The proposed platform will provide a centralised and organised mechanism for the listing and booking of unutilised at LNG terminals, enabling to identify available capacity and access it in accordance with their requirements,” the regulator said.

“It is notable that a large number of terminals are reporting poor and could avail of this facility to attract LNG cargoes by transparently discovering lower regasification charges,” it added.
